Tigris Monitoring Project

Tigris Monitoring Project

The Tigris Monitoring Project formed part of the Blue Peace Middle East’s efforts to improve water management on the Tigris River and its tributaries in Iraq, with a specific focus on improving the collection, storage, analysis and sharing of hydrological data.

This included the rehabilitation of two existing monitoring stations and the installation of three new gauging stations in the triple-border region, as well as the organization of trainings for local and national experts to improve their understanding of station operation, maintenance, calibration and data verification.
